"Fake" People

Sat Aug 11, 2012, 9:51 PM

Alright, short ranting time.
So, this is a topic that I've noticed come up frequently, "Being Fake".
Let's get one thing straight, a fake person is a fictional character or a card board cut out. Just because a person has a spray tan or wears tons of makeup or has a boob job doesn't mean they're "fake", alright? And who are you to judge those people anyway? Remember, behind that bronzer is a real person. If someone wants a tan but they have trouble getting a natural tan, then go ahead and get a spray tan! People should be allowed to do what they want to themselves, right? If they like wearing tons of glittery eyeshadow then be my guest! Make-up's fun to play with, don't deny it! It's like painting your face-it's a five year olds dream! And we aren't all born with amazing boobs, alright? And just because someone gets a boob job only means some of them is fake, but not their personality and spirit!
And here's the biggy-Just because a person acts nice to someone they don't really like, does NOT mean they are fake, it means that they have manners and treat people with respect!
It seems that most people nowadays, at least teens anyway, think that if you dress to impress and wear makeup it's "fake".
So I guess all I'm trying to say is everyone is different and has their own style~There's a heart inside that person who knows what they like and what they want, and unless that person's you then you have no right to judge them. I hope this made sense.

Sleep tight~<3

What if a card board cut out became alive?

Then it'd be a fake person.

I think there's a point where you cross the line into "fake" though. When people alter themselves so much they look completely different and are nearly completely plastic is in a way fakeish. I mean, yes it's their life and their decision but everyone is going to judge. But yes, I hate it when people are like "Ew, you wear makeup! YOU'RE A LIE!" it's like "no bitch, I wear makeup because it makes me feel pretty and good about myself!" And with the boob job thing making them RIDICULOUSLY huge is a lot different than a booster. I mean look at "human barbie" lady. -_- I pity her poor daughter. Annnnnyhoo, we all judge each other no matter how much we don't want to. It's what you actually say that counts. (Wow, that was cheesy...ughhhh)

I have to agree, yet disagree. There's a fine line. There is a difference between having fun with make-up / dressing up to feel good about yourself and trying to convince the world you are someone that you are not. A subtle shift between being nice to someone you don't like and doing that, then spreading crap about them behind their back. It's really all about intentions. To be called "fake" does not mean that people do not believe you exist--that's a strange way to think, for sure. Instead, it means to not be who you truly are. Having fun, feeling good about yourself, being polite, those are all okay because you're doing it for yourself. But being a bitchy, snotty, back-stabbing snob is //not// okay, because you are hurting others, and ((hopefully)) that is not who you are. :)

Yay discussions~

but when girls (or boys) are wearing make-up and are not eating or throwing up to be TOO skinny, or changing their personality to be someone else, that's fake.
There are girls in my school who MOLD themselves to be Exactly like each other. They spray tan until they forget their own skin. They wear makeup to change the SHAPE of their face so they look alike. Then, sometimes, they wear the same clothing. Style their hair the same. and will "dress up" to be like the celebrities. They then act like the celebrities too. Shoving who they were down and BECOME Snooki or whoever they think is "cool"
that's fake.

Well, I think I've been doing a good job of not accusing people of being "fake" and stuff, and knowing how someone can get a spray tan and still be a decent person.

i understand, and with you, i do agree. But I do believe there are exceptions to this. Like people who pretend to be someones friend, then goes and talks bad about them behind their back. A FAKE friend. I agree that they may not be a fake person, but if all you know about someone is how they are to your face, then they're someone else behind your back, well... how are you suppose to think about them?
